Jessica L. Jeffries

Age 33 of Joliet and formerly Wilmington, passed away Tuesday November 6, 2012 as the result of injuries sustained in an motor vehicle accident.

Born November 10, 1978 in Joliet, Jessica is the daughter of Dennis L. and Evelyn E. Sanders-Jeffries of Odell. She was raised and educated in Wilmington; was currently working as a CNA with Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, and formerly held employment with Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet. Jess will be remembered for her love of butterflies, and held special the time spent with her children and being involved in their activities.

Survivors include her parents; husband Robert Gregory; five children: Zackary Gregory, Zariah Gregory, Zayden Jeffries, Za'nyah Gregory and Zakiah Jeffries; two step children: Eric Gregory and Erica Gregory; maternal grandfather Clarence Sanders of Frankfort; paternal grandmother Shirley Gordon of Alabama, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her best friends: Kiki Byrd and Roxanne Graf.

Jess was preceded in death by her brother Steven L. Jeffries; maternal grandmother Evelyn Sanders and paternal grandfather Ben Gordon.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Friday November 16, 2012 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington (815/476-2181). Funeral services will follow Saturday November 17th at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Roy Backus officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jess' memory to her family for their distribution.
