Age 44 of Morris, passed away Thursday May 1, 2014 at his home.

Born September 29, 1969 in Morris, Jeffrey Allen is a son of Mary Lou Bennington (nee Donnelly) of Morris and the late Joseph Bernard McGuan. He was a graduate of Morris Community High School and attended both Joliet Junior College and Triton College. On April 8, 2003, Jeff married Stacey Swick in Cabo San Lucas. He a member of Operating Engineers Local #150 and held employment with Riemer Engineering and Land Development out of Saint Charles, Illinois. Jeff was an avid Green Bay Packers enthusiast, as well as a fan of Notre Dame. He enjoyed cooking and grilling and took great pride in his work.

Survivors include his wife Stacey; mother Mary Lou Bennington of Morris; faithful sidekick Dozer; one brother Shawn (Lesley) McGuan of Ottawa; father and mother-in-law Phil and Peggy Swick of Braidwood; brother-in-law Matt (Melissa) Swick of Wilmington; nieces and nephew: Kendall McGuan, who is also his goddaughter and Caleb Swick and Ella Swick, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Joseph (Renee) McGuan and step-father Thomas Bennington.

The family will receive friends at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 East Jackson Street in Morris on Monday May 5, 2014 between the hours of 3:00PM and 8:00PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow Tuesday May 6 th at 11:00AM in the church with Reverend Ed Howe, CR officiating.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jeff’s memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
