Jean A. Hemmersbach

Jean A. Hemmersbach, 75, of Morris, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Arcadia Care of Morris with her husband by her side.
Born December 28, 1947 in Morris, she was the daughter of James and Virginia (Peterson) Henderson. She graduated from MVK High School with the class of 1967. Jean married Victor Hemmersbach on May 19, 1973 at Immaculate Conception Church. She was employed for a number of years at the Morris Lincoln Nursing Home and Walnut Grove Home. She also loved working at Prairieland Daycare Center.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Victor; her children, Matthew Hemmersbach of Morris, Jason ( Kristen) Hemmersbach of Morris, Sarah (Tim) Miller of Chicago and Trisha (Nick) Leckow of Riverwoods; seven grandchildren, Katie and Justin Hemmersbach, Ayla and Zach Miller, Jack, Elise and Anna Leckow; sister, Linda (Dale) Bukes of Coal City; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Donald and Robert Henderson.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, liked to line dance, enjoyed baking, playing cards and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception School.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Jason Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris.
