Age 34 of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly Thursday March 4, 2010 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born March 13, 1975 in Joliet, Jason is a son of Bobby Forsythe and Rachael Longest-Cletcher. He was a 1993 graduate of Wilmington High School and earned his PE Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign in 1997. Jason was currently employed by Exelon Dresden Nuclear, was a member of the U of I Alumni Association, a fan of Raiders Football, as well as Illini Sports, and enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'em for charity. He was known to "never know a stranger" and truly loved the time spent with his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife Cori Lynn (nee Scubic); two sons: Cougar and Kellen; his parents: Rachael (Jim) Cletcher and Bobby (Elizabeth) Forsythe; three siblings: Christine Forsythe and Beth and Casey Westover; nieces and nephews: Corey and Lacey Ingram, Natalie and Drew Durham and Mason Aldridge; great niece Monika Ingram; grandmothers: Laura Forsythe and Virginia Puckett, both of Wilmington; mother and father-in-law Dale and Pat Scubic of Coal City; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Toni (Doug) Durham and Alice (Brett) Aldridge of Coal City and several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as a host of friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Norris Forsythe and LaVerne Longest, Sr.; uncle Bob Westover and his mother-in-law Patricia Scubic.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Sunday March 7, 2010 between the hours of 2:00PM and 6:00PM and Monday March 8th from 10:00AM until time of service 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Pastor Heidi Johnson will officiate.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Jason's memory to the Wilmington High School Foundation for Excellence Scholarship Fund or to Bobcat Football.
