James C. VanDuyne "Jimmy"
Age 66 of Wilmington, passed away Sunday August 26, 2007 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.
Born May 09, 1941 in Joliet, Jimmy was a son of the late Claude and Marge Farley-VanDuyne. He was employed by VanDuyne Bros. General Contractors for many years and was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and the Wilmington Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife Rita (nee Strong); two sons: Danny and Jamie; two daughters: Cindy and Amy (John) Friddle; one brother Greg (JoEllen) of Wilmington and two sisters: Claudia (Rob) Wendel of Wilmington and Eileen (Mark) Arnold of Arkansas. Three aunts: Mary Turan of Wilmington, Florence Jacklich of Indiana and Millie Wallen of Wilmington; two uncles: Francis (Katherine) of Coal City and Bill (Elaine) of Arizona, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Danny and grandparents: Jim and Adeline (Nana) Farley and Jake and Eula VanDuyne.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 28, 2007 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday August 29th at 10:00AM in Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer officiating. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorial may be made as gifts in Jimmy's memory to Saint Rose Catholic School, 626 South Kankakee Street, Wilmington, Illinois 60481.
