Age 44 of Aurora, Illinois, died April 10, 2023 in Mazon Township, Grundy County, Illinois.
Born December 14, 1978 in Memphis, Tennessee, James was a son of Shirley Jean Scott-Pheal and Thomas and Leatrice Jordan. On January 12, 2007 James married Marsha Elaine Patton at the Kane County Courthouse in Saint Charles, Illinois and made their home in Aurora, Illinois.
James worked as a machine operator in the carpentry industry for several years. He loved listening to music, especially rap and old school R&B dusties. He was a loving father and enjoyed taking care of his children.
Survivors include his wife Marsha: parents; Thomas (Lucielle) Jordan of Byhalia, Mississippi and Leatrice (Lennon Walker) Jordan-Walker of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; four children; Mario Castillo, Seleny Melchor, Darlee Pheal and Devin Pheal all of Aurora: a sister; Jameka (Andrew Allen) Jordan of Montgomery, Illinois and a brother: Ronnie (Kim) Jordan of Plano, Illinois: nephews C.J. Marshall of Seattle, Washington, Elijah Jordan of Plano, Illinois and nieces: Unique Marshall of Montgomery, Illinois, Bryonna Jordan and Allie Jordan of Plano, Illinois: several cousins.
James was preceded in death by his mother and a nephew Donya Williams.
Per the families wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
A celebration of James' life will be held at a later date.
