James O. Meredith

Age 77 of Lake Shannon, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Regency Care of Morris.

Born March 18, 1938 in Braceville, James Oliver was a son of the late Shannon William and Vera Ann (Downs) Meredith. He was raised and educated in Braceville, and worked alongside his brother Lloyd at Shannon Shores until his retirement. Jim enjoyed traveling and fishing, and took great pleasure in socializing.

Survivors include his brother Lloyd Meredith of Lake Shannon and two sisters: Millie Stewart of Crest Hill and his twin sister Marjorie Clark of Braceville.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Bob Meredith and Jack Meredith, and four sisters: Dorothy Meredith, Trilla Fisher, Freida Lawless and Helen Wendell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 203 Liberty Street in Gardner. Burial will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jim's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
