James L. Daggett

James L. Daggett, 63, formerly of Morris passed away on November 24, 2022 in Wasila, Alaska, with his family by his side.
He was born May 15, 1958 to Robert B. and Joyce (Baker) Daggett and was educated in Morris Schools and graduated from Morris High School in 1976.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennora (Justin) Ward of Missouri and son, Robert (Lannie) Daggett of Wasila, Alaska and 7 grandchildren, also brother, Ken (Judy) Daggett of Morris, sister, Kathy (Jack) Vacca of Wisconsin, Robert (Berdie) Daggett of Wisconsin and Lu-Ann (Bob) Ishamel of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce Daggett and brother, Larry Daggett.
Jim has resided in Alaska for over 40 years and was a treasured member of his family and community. His warmth, compassion and humor were a gift to all knew him. He also loved fishing and hunting. He did missionary work with his church by building a school in Peru, which is still in operation today.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or donors choice.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris with Pastor Patrick Lohse officiating. Interment will follow in Evergeen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
