James E. Byron

Age 74 of Wilmington, passed away Monday January 25, 2010 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Streator.

Born April 7, 1934, James was a son of the late Michael and Virginia Woolwine-Byron.

A graduate of Joliet Catholic High School, James was a veteran of the US Army and worked for the US Government Army Procurement Supply Agency until his retirement in 1984.

Jim was an avid racehorse enthusiast and was known for raising and training Sulky horses.

Survivors include two brothers: Michael (Doris) of Arkansas and Paul (Roberta) of South Carolina; special aunt Geraldine Woolwine of Wilmington and special cousins: Peggy Chapman of Wilmington and Connie Houdlett of Kankakee

Jim was preceded by his parents and twin brother Joseph.

Family services and interment will be private and preferred memorials as gifts in Jim's memory may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington or Kuzma Care Cottage.
