Jacqueline Lelia Wilcox
Age 81 of Coal City and formerly Putnam, Illinois, passed away Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Dwight.
Born June 28, 1930 in Chicago, Jacqueline was a daughter of the late William and Helen Odell-Leach. She was raised and educated in Iowa, and was a 1946 Clinton High School graduate. On October 4, 1950, Jacqueline married David Albert Wilcox in Crown Point, Indiana and he preceded her in death; November of 1991.
Survivors include four children: David (Jean) Wilcox of Diamond, Joseph Wilcox of Princeton, Illinois, Karen (Ed) Fredericks of Walkerton, North Carolina and Daniel Wilcox of Morris; three grandchildren: Leah (Art) Bill of Diamond, Lisa Lundeen of Wilmington and Paul Wilcox of Dwight; three great grandchildren: Keller Bill, Isaac Bill and Cora Bill and two sisters: Phyllis Myer and Linda Shaw-Powell, both of Clinton Iowa.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; husband David Albert Wilcox; daughter Josephine Christiansen; two granddaughters: Jennifer and Erica Christiansen and one brother Robert Leach.
Per Jacqueline's wishes all services will be private and burial will be in Putnam Cemetery in Senachwine, Illinois.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jacqueline's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
