"Jackie"

Age 73 of Morris, passed away Thursday September 4, 2008 at Walnut Grove in Morris.

Born July 29, 1935 in Decatur, Illinois, Jackie was a daughter of the late Berlin and Florence M. Joy-Mansfield. She was a graduate of Morris Community High School and worked many years as an administrative assistant with Lucent Technologies, from where she retired in July 2000. It was in the early 1980's that Jackie acquired her Stock Brokers License and she was also known for her April of 1992 patent of a Vanity Jewelry Box. Jackie was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Morris and the Morris Women's Club. In her free time she enjoyed cross stitching and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three children: John Martin Lund of Rockford, Stephanie (Don) Gubelman of Coal City and Judy (Don) Shaw of Simpsonville, South Carolina; five grandchildren: Jody Lund, Danielle and Matthew Gubelman and Jennifer and Allison Shaw; two brothers and three sisters: James (Mary Ann) Mansfield of Morris, Joyce (Jack) Lundy of Normal, Glen (Clara) Kirk of Byron, Alana (Terry) Studebaker of Decatur and Dana (John) Nabor of Healdsburg, California and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Glen Kirk, one nephew Craig Mansfield and one niece Abby Bishop.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 07, 2008 between the hours of 2:00PM and 4:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow on Monday September 8th at 10:30AM in the funeral home with Dr. Chuck Olson officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris and pallbearers will be: Barney Sloan, Larry Sampson, Terry Studebaker, John Nabor, Dana Gilbertson and Matthew Gubelman.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jackie's memory to The Alzheimer's Association or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
