JACK MORRIS Age 85 of Morris and formerly Gardner, passed away Friday morning June 17, 2005 at Walnut Grove Nursing Center.

Born April 19, 1920 in Gardner, Jack was a son of the late William John and Nellie (Woodland) Morris. He was raised and educated in Gardner, having graduated with the Gardner a�" South Wilmington High School Class of 1937.

On June 29, 1940 Jack married Luella Mae Munson in Davenport, Iowa, and together they lived most of their married life in Morris until retiring to Kissimmee, Florida. Jack was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in World War II and later gained employment with the Morris Paper Mill after the service. He retired with Federal Paper Board as a master mechanic after more than 40 years of service. Jack was a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and he was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast. Jack raised and showed ponies, as well as judged rabbits.

Survivors include: three daughters: Karen (Leroy) Wolfer of Yorkville, Susan (Cal) Tamala of Torrance, California and Lynn (Scott) Widmann of Bolingbrook. Eight Grandchildren: Kim Fehr, Gina Brockhoff, Laurie VandeVelde, Jennifer Griggs, Lisa Griggs, Cara Cornelison, Melissa Togliatti and James Togliatti. (10) Great grandchildren: Michael, Erica, Kayla, Jared, Devon, Jackson, Emma, Ella, Eden and Madyson. One brother Kenneth Morris and three sisters: Ruth Burkhardt, Betty Wolfe and Wanda Markiel, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife Luella Mae "Lollie" (2001), two sisters: Ethel "Sis" Anderson and Esther Grinter and six brothers: Wayne Morris, Francis Morris, Raymond Morris, James Morris, Gordon Kingman and Clarence Kingman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 22, 2005 from 10:30AM until time of Funeral Service and Video Tribute at 11:00AM in Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City. Rev. Kenwood Engel will officiate and Interment with full military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jack's name to the American Cancer Society.
