Age 80 and a lifelong resident of Wilmington, passed away Monday August 4, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born February 9, 1934 in Wesley Township, Irene Jane was a daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Madline (Frost) Cohoon. On May 12, 1951, Irene married Edgar Loveland and he preceded her April 2, 2001. She held various jobs throughout her life and retired from R-Way Plastics at the age of 70. Irene enjoyed bird watching and feeding the squirrels. She took pleasure in playing cards and working in the yard. She loved staying busy and always kept her mind occupied. Irene will most be remembered for the great interest she had in her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include five children: Roger (Kim) Loveland of Channahon, David (Pam) Loveland of Essex, James (Pat) Loveland of Braidwood, Richard (Kim) Loveland of Wilmington and Valerie Loveland of Braidwood; (22) grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, as well as niece and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edgar; two sons: Edgar Lee Loveland and George Good; one grandson Ricky Loveland and (17) brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 8, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 1:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington, where Irene will be laid to rest with her late husband. Irene's grandsons will act as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Irene's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, Illinois 60481
