"Jim"

Age 61 of Morris, passed away Friday April 29, 2011 at his home.

Born December 22, 1949 in Morris, Jim was a son of the late Henry and Marilyn McGuire-Narwick. He was raised and educated in Morris and was a graduate of Morris Community High School. Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force and after his honorable discharge operated Narwick Brothers Trucking with his father and brother. Most recently Jim worked at Costco Warehouse, was a member of the Morris American Legion and formerly belonged to the Rod and Gun Club. Jim truly loved working in his yard and woodworking. He can also be remembered cherishing time spent in his garage with his dogs.

Survivors include his wife Sharon (nee Kenney); children: Anthony James (Patty) Narwick and Sheree Nicole Narwick, both of Morris, Tiffany Lin Narwick of Tinley Park and Christina Maria (Craig) Marek of Frankfort; stepchildren: Theresa (Dan) Ragan of Braceville and Nicholas Lewis of Morris; eleven grandchildren: Anthony James Narwick, Jr., Devin Jameson Narwick , Jocelyn Narwick, Hailee Marek, Trey Marek, Dustin Ortiz, Daniel Ragan, Kayla Lewis, Charlie Lewis, Austin Lewis and Layne Taylor; one brother William (Carol) Narwick of Morris; brother-in-law Merle Jelm of Marseilles and three nephews: Billy Narwick and Tommy Narwick both of Morris and Ron Jelm of Marseilles.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Deanne Jelm.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 5, 2011 from 11:00AM until time of funeral service 1:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Pastor Larry Garcia of Kankakee New Life Church will officiate. A private family burial with full military honors conducted by the Morris Color Guard will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jim's memory to the American Cancer Society.
