Henry L. Gunning

Age 87 of Diamond, formerly Wilmington, passed away Saturday June 22, 2013, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born November 3, 1925 in Wilmington, Henry was a son of the late Henry and Marjo Barnes-Gunning. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and held employment with APSA where he worked in the Accounting Department until his retirement. He was a former member of the Wilmington Historical Society and enjoyed studying history and philosophy. Henry will be remembered for his love of classical music, reading, and cats.

He is survived by his dear friend and caretaker Gloria Longest.

Henry was preceded by his parents and one brother James.

Funeral service will be held Thursday June 27, 2013 at 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Preferred Memorials may be made as gifts in Henrys' name to the Wilmington Historical Society.
