Helen Marie Tabler

Age 89 of Morris, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at her home. Born August 5, 1919 in Morris, Helen was a daughter of the late Lee and Marie (Griffin) Tabler. She was raised and educated in Morris, and graduated High School from St. Angela's Academy. Helen lived her entire life in Morris and retired after 42 years from Northwestern Corporation in Morris. She was a great reader and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include one brother: William (Ramona) Tabler of Morris; local nieces and nephews: Janis Wethington of Morris, Susan (Bob) Cardinell of DeKalb, Donald (Coral) Silk of DesMoines, Thomas Silk, Dana (Deb) Olsen, Dee (Don) Borchelt and Ronald (Kelly) Dibble all of Morris, Randy (Sonny) Dibble of Elgin, Kathy (Dennis) Oelschlager of Missouri, Nancy (Brian) Beck of Joliet, Bill (Patty) Tabler of Naperville and Jim (Pam) Tabler and LeeAnn (Joel) Franklin both of Morris, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew and cousins.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Edward, Frank, James and George and five sisters: Gladys in infancy, Patricia, Jane, Jean and Shirley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6th from 9:00am to 10:30am at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00am in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Richard L. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Helen's memory to the Immaculate Conception School building fund.
