Helen Marie Jackson

Age 90 of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday January 25, 2012 at the Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Morris.

Born August 18, 1921 in Blue Island, Illinois, Helen was a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Kissell-Shramek. She married Harold A. Jackson and he preceded her in June of 1995. Helen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wilmington and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her children: Charles (Leslie) Jackson of Wilmington, Beverly (Bill) Bowen of Largo, Florida, Lois (Chris) Smith of Wilmington and Edward (Marcia) Jackson of Creal Springs, Illinois; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, as well as her sister-in-law: Helen (the late Melvin) Jackson of Wesley Township.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; one brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday February 4, 2012 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service 12:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. (815/476-2181)

Burial will be in Wesley Cemetery, Wesley Township, Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Helen's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
