Helen M. Barra
Age 76 of Coal City, passed away Friday December 15, 2006 at Morris Hospital in Morris, IL.
Born January 28, 1930 in Coal City, Helen was a daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryn (Gianu) Barra. She lived her entire life in Coal City and retired from D&D Manufacturing where she was a Machine Operator. Prior to working at D&D, Helen was a Seamstress for Hyman Clothing Factory. Helen enjoyed cooking, reading and gardening.
Survivors include four sisters: Evelyn Macketta, Marian Barra, Kathryn (George) Winkel and JoAnn (Norman) Wills; one brother-in-law James Wilson, Sr.; one sister-in-law Helen Barra and one special niece Sheryl Wills, as well as other nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Thomas Barra Jr. and Frank Barra; three sisters: Carrie Passini, Minnie Dransfeldt, and Betty Wilson; one nephew James Wilson Jr.; and two brothers in law: Joe Macketta and Earl Dransfeldt.
Private Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood.
