Age 83 of Morris, passed away Monday December 6, 2010 at Morris Hospital.

Born September 10, 1927 in Morris, Harry was a son of the late Daniel and Luella Brooks-Harrington. He was raised and educated in Morris and was a graduate of Morris Community High School. Harry married Margaret Kramer in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in 1945, and together Harry and Margaret have lived in Morris their entire married life. Harry worked for the Morris Federal Paper Board for over 20 years and then gained employment with Morris Automotive until retiring in 1989. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris and can be remembered for his meticulous yard, in which he loved spending time grooming. Harry also truly enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his loving wife Margaret; one daughter Becky (Woody) Erickson; two sons: Harry (Bobbie) Harrington and Doug (George Ann) Harrington and one sister Marion Hamilton, all of Morris. Six grandchildren: Tracy Wills, Derek Harrington, Adam Harrington, Chad Harrington, Craig Erickson and Alecia Foote; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and brothers and sisters-in-law: Gloria Harrington, Carl (Judy) Kramer and William (Carol) Kramer, all of Morris, Mary (Dick) Coates of Kirksville, Missouri and Edith Hagy of Marseilles.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Charles "Fritz", Daniel and LeRoy Harrington and one sister Doris Heermann.

The family will receive friends on Friday December 10, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris from 10:00AM until time of funeral services 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Ed Howe officiating and burial will follow in Sample Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Adam Harrington, Matt Wills, Chad Harrington, Craig Erickson, Mike Foote and Derek Harrington.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Harry's memory to the Immaculate Conception Catholic School Endowment Fund.
