On December 23, 2012 our dearly beloved husband, father, and friend Harold F. Tulley (84) went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Harold was born March 24, 1928 in Wilton Township, as son of the late Edmund and Florence Scott-Tulley . He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War from October 1951 through July 1953, as a corporal in the 25th infantry / tank commander. Harold lived and farmed in The Twelve Mile Grove Area his entire life and worked for H.P. Graham Road Construction. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Stone City VFW Post 2199 and the Kankakee Moose Lodge. Harold was proud of his Irish heritage and cherished the friendships he made throughout his lifetime.

Survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Loretta M. Tulley (nee Doyle), his loving devoted children: Colleen (Brad) Dralle of Beaufort, South Carolina, Karen Bettenhausen of Peotone, Robert Tulley of Odell, Cathleen (David) Schaeffer, of Manteno, Rita (David) Beata of Western Springs; grandchildren: Kelly (Andrew) Necker, Brian (Jocelyn) Dralle, Erin (Nick) Ragle, Maureen (Jordan) Broggi, Kurt (Camila) Dralle, Caitlin and Megan Schaeffer, Cheyenne Tulley and Connor Beata; twelve great-grandchildren, and one brother Donald (Joan) Tulley of Wilmington.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents: Edmund and Florence (nee Scott) Tulley; one son: Patrick Tulley; two brothers: Joe and Stephen and sister: Helen Koller.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington . A Mass of Christian Burial will follow Friday, December 28th at 10:00am in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wilton Center. Burial with full military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood .

Pallbearers will be Don Nugent, Daniel Delaney, Gerald Delaney, Rick Rodawold, Brad Dralle, David Schaeffer and David Beata.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Harold's memory to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wilton Center , Joliet Area Community Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
