Hans Christensen

Hans Olaf Christensen, age 68, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his residence in Radisson, WI. He was born March 2, 1950 the son of Hans and Margaret (Schrieber) Christensen.

Hans proudly served his country in the United States Army in both Germany and Vietnam. He worked in the Elgin Water Treatment facility and as a Mental Health Tech at the Elgin Mental Health Facility, both in Elgin, IL. He moved to the Northwood’s to follow his passions as an outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his siblings, Arline Butt of Romeoville, IL, Chris (Stephanie) Christensen of West Lafayette, IN, Karen Ordonez of Schaumburg, IL and Susan LaFollett of Ennis, TX; his nieces and nephews, Melvin, Dennis Deanna, Abbey, Nathan, Rebekah, Hannah, Bobbie, David, Eric, Stephanie, Shane, Justin, Jacob, Issac, Abram, John Wayne, and Angel; and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Hans is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne; a nephew, Fred; and his nieces, Cristina and Vanessa.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington, IL where a eulogy and stories will be shared. Interment will follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
