Gunnar J. Rosen

Age 65 of Morris and formerly Chicago, passed away Monday November 26, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born January 09, 1942 in Sweden, Gunnar was raised and educated in Chicago. He was a graduate of Lane Tech High School with the Graduating Class of 1959 and attended the University of Tulsa. Gunnar coached tennis at North Park College for 11 years and worked as a self employed financial planner. In his free time he enjoyed tennis, his grandkids and his dogs Dandy and Cuddles.

Survivors include his loving companion Gloria Steinhoff of Morris; two children: Kristina (the late Randy) Kruse of Morris and Steven (Kim) Rosen of Chicago and three grandchildren: Nicole Kruse, Rebecca Rosen and Stephanie Kruse.

Gunnar was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Randy Kruse.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Wednesday November 28, 2007 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow on Thursday November 29th at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Richard Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Chapel Hills West Cemetery in Oak Brook.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Gunnar's memory to Vitas Hospice.
