Age 73 of Wilmington, passed away Sunday evening, February 7, 2016 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born January 10, 1943 in Wilmington, Glenn Alden was a son of the late Bert and Elsie Pearl (Calhoun) Richmond. He was a former employee of Overnight Trucking of Bedford Park and Celotex Paper Mill in Wilmington. Glenn attended the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington, and took great pleasure in both playing golf and bingo. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of golfing in Casa Grande, Arizona and playing bingo throughout the area.

Survivors include four sisters: Doris (Harvey) Stephens of Wilmington, Judy (Jess) Stephens of Greenup, Pam Hysel of Braidwood, and Shirley (Darrell) Horath of Iola; one brother: Fred (Mary) Richmond of Florida; sister-in-law Lois Richmond of Braidwood; step-sister Mary (Travis) McDowell of Alabama and step-brothers: Joe (Mary) Brown, Jr. of Wilmington and Edward (Judy) McPherson of Arizona,  as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including Jonathan Hysel, who was like a son to Glenn.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; sister Darlene Richmond; brother Kenneth Richmond and step-brother Gary McPherson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Tom Kingery from the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
