Glenn Rodney Reaser, Sr.

Age 80 of Meadowlakes, Texas, passed away Wednesday March 9, 2011 at St. David's Hospital in Austin, Texas.

Born July 3, 1930 in Murdo, South Dakota, Glenn was a son of the late Harold E. and Elizabeth Yirka-Reaser. On February 25, 1951, Glenn married Mary Lou Woodard in Urbana, Illinois and she survives. Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of dedicated service. During his tenure with the armed services, Glenn served during the Korean Conflict, as well as during Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Air Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Senior Army Aviator Badge, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Medal and two overseas bars.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Mary Lou of Meadowlakes; sons: Dennis Harold (Kathleen) Reaser of Spokane, Washington, Craig Alan Reaser of Thousand Oaks, California and Glenn Rodney Reaser, Jr. of Wilmington, Illinois; daughter Beth Ann (George) Oswald of Wilmington, Illinois; grandchildren: Brian Reaser, Christa Westbrook, Natalie Bomba, Luke Oswald and Brandon, Jennifer and Sara Reaser and great grandchildren: Paden Westbrook, Jack Westbrook, Emma Westbrook, Manami Reaser, Leina Reaser and Kayla, Blayne and Landon Bomba.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 23, 2011 between 11:00AM and 12:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Burial with full military honors will follow at 1:00PM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood with Pastor Mark Thompson from Christian Life Assembly of God Church in Diamond officiating.
