Glen Daniels

Glen Earl Daniels Age 77 of Wilmington a resident for over 50 years passed away Tuesday March 16, 2010 at home with family at his side. Born January 3, 1933 in Mt. Erie, Wayne County, IL to the late Earl and Opal (Shackelford) Daniels also preceded in death by a sister Wilma Hunt, a brother Clifton Oneal Daniels and One son Kevin Ray Daniels. Married Peggy Joyce Bruce on Jan 10, 1956 in Mt. Vernon, IL who Survives him. Four loving children Billy Glen Daniels, Patricia Ann (William) Calhoon, Randall Eugene (Kathy) Daniels and Tamela Kay (John) McCormick all of Wilmington. Dearest grandfather to eight Glennden (Sara) Daniels, Miranda Kay Calhoon, Jacqueline Daniels, Katrina And Jacob Daniels, Laura Calhoon, Morgan and John McCormick; and one great granddaughter Ali Elizabeth Daniels; one brother Gerald Daniels of Tuscola, IL. Glen was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army. Member of the VFW and American Legion in Wayne County. His pastime was filled family and friends who miss him dearly. Gardening, playing cards and pool at the Corner with friends was a favorite time. Visitation Friday March 19, 2010 from 4 to 8PM at the Freitag Funeral Home. Services at 11:00AM Saturday March 20, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Mi-Sook Yoo of the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington officiating.
