Age 46 of Goose Lake, passed away Sunday evening, August 14, 2011 at Morris Hospital.

Born June 12, 1965 in Evergreen Park, Geri is a daughter of Gerald and Kathy Buis-Sidenstick of New Lenox. She attended Southwest Missouri University, and on June 28, 1986, Geri married John Kratochvil in Homer Glen. Together they moved to Goose Lake in December of 2000 and she was a member of the Church of Christ in Morris. Geri utilized her talent and love for sewing as a seamstress, and in her spare time was a rock and gemstone enthusiast. She leaves behind her children, whom she dearly cherished.

Survivors include her loving husband John; three children: Carolynn Kratochvil of Goose Lake, Paul Kratochvil of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Renee Kratochvil of Goose Lake; her parents: Kathy and Jerry Sidenstick of New Lenox; one sister: Vicki (Ed) Cantwell of New Lenox; Mother and Father-in-law: Paul and Jeanine Kratochvil of Goose Lake; brother-in-law: Bryan (Ann) Kratochvil of New Lenox and two sisters-in-law: Dawn Florey of New Lenox and Linda (Todd) Sula of Goose Lake, and well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Geri was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Peter and Virginia Buis and paternal grandparents: Martha & Virgil Jansing

Cremation Rites have been accorded per Geri's wishes, and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 2:00PM in the Church of Christ, 1330 East Old Pine Bluff Road in Morris. Preacher Jim Olson will officiate.

Preferred memorial may be made as gifts in Geri's memory to her family for distribution to charities of their choosing.
