Gerald L. Ness

Gerald L. Ness, 70, of Morris, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Morris Hospital with his family by his side.
Born December 7, 1950 in Aurora, he was the son of Kermit and Jeanette (Carlson) Ness. He graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1968. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a MEDEVAC in Vietnam. He married Helen Snider on February 24, 1978 in Morris and they lived all of their married life in Morris.
Gerald was employed for 35 years at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Joliet.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen of 43 years; his children, Christiana Ness of Morris, Gerald Ness Jr. of Morris, Timothy (Andrea) Burciaga of Woodridge and Alice Mc Glaughlin of Morris; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Barb) Ness and William Ness, both of Morris; one sister, Virginia (Timothy) Urbanik of Morris; his brother-in-law, Steve Heylek of Weldon, Il; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Sandy Heylek; one niece, Brenda and one nephew, Bobby.
He was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
There will be no funeral service or visitation.
