Gerald A. Frank, Sr. of Wilmington and formerly the Southwest side of Chicago, passed away April 15, 2006.
Inurnment with full military honors will be held on Monday April 25, 2011 at 10:00AM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Family and friends wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery welcome center by 9:45AM.
Born April 26, 1926 in Chicago, Gerald was a son of the late Andrew and Adelaide Wirtschoreck-Frank. He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served during World War II throughout the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and the VFW Post 15014. Gerald was also a member of Teamsters Local #705, from where he retired.
Survivors include three sons: Gerald A. Frank, Jr., Thomas J. (Donna) Frank and Robert G. (Karen) Frank and three grandchildren: Bradley, Alisabeth and Jared.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his second mother Alice (Landers) Frank and wife Cecile (Kozak) Frank in 2001.
