"Stormy"

Age 85 of Joliet, passed away Saturday April 3, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born in Chicago July 28, 1924 to the late Anthony and Rose Vogt-Reitz. George was employed for numerous years as an automotive mechanic, owning Stormy's Auto Repair and Shell/Mobile Service Station. He married the love of his life Irene Laurencell on July 28, 1945 and together they enjoyed fishing and boating at their lakeside home in Wisconsin. George truly loved being with his family, gardening and being "inventive".

Survived by his loving wife of 65 years Irene; one son George, Jr. (Mary) and one daughter Judy Reitz, all of Joliet; two grandchildren: George, III and Laurie (Andy) Barker; three great grandchildren: Kaitie, Maddie and Jake and one brother Raymond (Fran) of North Carolina.

George was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Robert, Leonard and Lawrence.

Visitation will be Wednesday April 7th from 4-9PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow on Thursday April 8th at 10AM in the funeral home with Rev. Steve Bondi officiating. Interment will be in Holy Sepluchre Cemetery in Alsip.
