Geneva W. King
Age 92 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Thursday December 27, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet.
Born November 19, 1915 in Atwood, Illinois, Geneva was a daughter of the late Guy and Elizabeth Kamm-Quick.
Being a very active person all of her life, Geneva belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, Wilmington Moose Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and took great pride in her lawn and providing the city with spectacular seasonal displays for many years.
Survivors include her loving children; two sons: Dennis (Barbara) of Braidwood and David (Judy) of Cave Creek Arizona and one daughter Annette (Ben) Kincheloe of Wilmington. Grandchildren: Douglas Davis, Brenda (Arland) Pearcy, Michele and Melissa King, Brian (Traci) King and Adam (Heather) King. Five great grandchildren: Ramona Davis, Camdin, Ashlyn, Gavin and Colin King and one brother James (Janet) Quick of Atwood, Illinois.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles (1980), one brother Edward Quick and two sisters: Maureen Funk and Alvina Piatt.
Visitation will be held on Sunday December 30, 2007 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Graveside services will follow on Monday December 31, 2007 at 12:00PM Noon in Unity Township Cemetery in Atwood, Illinois with Rev. Conrad Heisner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Geneva's memory to First Presbyterian Church of Wilmington appreciated.
