Gary L. Ingraham, 85, of Morris, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Arcadia Care of Morris.
Born September 13, 1938 in Verona, he was the son of Leon and Doris (Sayers) Ingraham. He graduated from MVK High School with the class of 1956. Later he attended State Technical Institute in Memphis, TN and received his Associate Degree in Science in Mechanical Engineering. Also, he was a graduate of the Navy Nuclear Power Training Program and numerous technical and management courses. Gary served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1979. He married Nancy Pyatt on December 14, 2009 in Louisiana and they lived most of their married life in Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy in Morris; his children, Julie Ernst of Saratoga Springs, New York and Mark Ingraham of Florida; two grandchildren, Kate Ernst and Alison Ernst; sister, Sandra (Donald, deceased) Vint of Kinsman; sister-in-law, D.J. Ingraham of Sheridan, Wyoming; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Joe Ingraham.
He was a member of the USS Nautilus Alumni Association and United States Submarine Veterans Inc.
Gary enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Private interment will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris. Military honors will be provided by the Morris Color Guard.
