Fred T. Henderson

Age 75 of Braidwood, passed away peacefully Wednesday May 6, 2009 at Ballard Health Center in Des Plaines.

Born April 30, 1934 in Chicago, Fred was a son of the late Fred and Geneva Truley-Henderson. He was a High School Graduate, who also attended both Roosevelt University in Chicago and the University of Miami in Florida. Fred was associated with his father in Henderson Builder of Homes and worked as a painter for the City of Chicago until his retirement. Fred was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Elks Club of Alsip. In his free time Fred was known for his love of fishing, telling jokes, dining out, cook outs, country music and family times.

Survivors include his loving wife Susan (nee Baughman); four children: William of Kentucky, Michael (Vicki) of Lansing, Christine (Michael) Kaim of Highland, Indiana and Lori (Douglas) Schroeter of Lowell, Indiana; three grandchildren: Jared and Alayna Kaim and Lindsay Henderson; his mother-in-law Yvonne Baughman of Dolton, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 11, 2009 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM and Tuesday May 12th from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Reverend Dale Tolly from the First Presbyterian Church in Braidwood will officiate and a private family interment will follow.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Fred's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
