Franklin R. St. Jean, Jr.

Age 57 of Wilmington and formerly of West Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away Monday October 20, 2014 at his home.

Born November 5, 1956 in Springfield, Massachusetts, Frank was a son of the late Carol Marion (Huntley) Pruett and Franklin R. St. Jean, Sr. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and worked 29 years as a Millwright with Local 1693, where he formerly served as conductor. Most recently Frank was employed with Exelon at Dresden Station. He previously served as Wesley Township Trustee, and was a member of Meneoka New Lenox Sportsman's Club. Frank was a huge drag racing enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his two sons: Steven E. St. Jean and Robert C. St. Jean, both of Wilmington; one grandson Case "Tractor" St. Jean; three sisters: Grace (George) Sarna of Braidwood, Diane St. Jean of Siesta Key, Florida and Cindy (James) Pearce-Ray of Braidwood; two brothers: Ken St. Jean of Wrightwood, California and Robert (Melissa) St. Jean of Las Vegas, Nevada and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his life-long best friend Henry "Chuck" Krepela, Jr. of West Springfield, Massachusetts.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother Carol Marion Pruett and grandparents: George Edward and Lillian Margaret Huntley.

Green cremation rites have been accorded.

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service 2:30 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Reverend Steve Bondi from Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington will officiate.

Inurnment with full military honors will be held in The Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at a later date.
