Age 82 of Coal City, passed away Sunday April 19, 2009 at Morris Hospital.

Born August 02, 1926 in Forest Park, IL, Frank was a son of the late Frank D., Sr. and Mary Scarpace-Onorato. He was raised and educated in Forest Park and was a graduate of Proviso High School. Frank was a veteran of the United State Army Air Corp and served during WWII. On August 25, 1956 Frank married Marilyn LaZier in Saint Bernadine Catholic Church in Forest Park and she preceded him in death on July 23, 1990. In 1961 Frank became a licensed Insurance Broker and opened Onorato Insurance Agency. It was then in 1971 he began brokering real estate and opened the Onorato Real Estate Agency. The office moved to its current location at 335 S. Broadway in Coal City in 1974 and continues to be operated alongside Onorato Insurance Services, which is a family owned division. Frank was a member of the Illinois and National Realtor's Association, as well as the Grundy County Realtors Association, in which he served twice as president. He was also formerly involved with the Holy Name Society in Coal City and was active and served as past president of the Sons of Italy in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Survivors include two sons: Michael Onorato of Diamond and Paul Onorato of Coal City; one brother Don Onorato of Schaumburg; one sister Maryanne Custardo of Spring Hill, Florida and one sister-in-law Norma LaZier of Coal City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2009 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Thursday April 23rd at 11:00AM in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Hart from Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City officiating.

A funeral luncheon provided by The Martha's at the Berst Center in Coal City will immediately follow the funeral services.

A private family inurnment will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery on Wednesday July 29, 2009 at 4:00PM. Reverend Robert Noesen from Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City will officiate.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Frank's memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
