Age 84 of Diamond, passed away Thursday August 25, 2011 at Morris Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 26, 1926 in Joliet, Francis was a son of the late Martin and Theresa Bono-Reano. He was raised in Coal City and was a graduate of Coal City High School. Francis was a Veteran of the United States Navy Air Corp, and proudly served stateside during World War II, training crash crews. After his honorable discharge, Francis attended trade school for sheet metal fabrication, heating and air conditioning in Chicago. On December 14, 1950, Francis married Joan Weston, and she survives. He was employed at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant and also owned and operated FM Reano Heating and Sheet Metal. For more than 40 years, Francis' meticulous sheet metal fabrications and heating business served the many whom called upon him day and night, 365 days a year. Francis was a talented furniture maker and also had a skill for carving. In his free time he enjoyed traveling with The Good Sams RV Traveling group, gardening, cooking and baking. He will furthermore be remembered for being one of the co-founders of Diamond Days and the Civic Club.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Joan; one daughter Rhonda (Dana) Ferrara of Coal City; two grandchildren: Christopher (Nancy) Roudis of Minooka and Lorrie (Erik) Toler of Morris; two great grandchildren: Olivia and Owen Toler and one sister Eleanor (Ray) Roman of Grenada Hills, California, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 31, 2011 from 4:00PM until time of memorial service 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church will officiate.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Francis' memory to Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice, 518 West Illinois Avenue, Morris, Illinois 60450.
