Francis X. Fournier
"Frank"
Age 81 of Coal City, passed away Saturday May 22, 2010 at his home.
Born March 2, 1929 in Munising Township, Michigan, Frank was a son of the late Oliver and Elsie Paquin-Fournier. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City, Laborer's Union Local 75, from where he retired, the Teamsters and the Laborer's Retirees Club. Frank was an avid lumberjack, and can be remembered as having a love for the outdoors, fishing, camping, playing cards and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife Patricia (nee Crane); children: Debbie (Greg) of Alabama, Pam (Thomas) of Delavan, IL and James (Amy) of Coal City; two step children: Randy (Penny) Miller and Tammy Smith, both of East Peoria; (14) grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two brothers: Eugene of Crest Hill and Roger (Linda) of Wyoming, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and eight brothers.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held Wednesday May 26, 2010 from 4:00PM until time of funeral service 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Reverend Robert Noesen from Assumption Catholic Church will officiate and interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Joliet.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Frank's memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
