Frances M. Wright

Age 90 of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday March 13, 2014 at Island City Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington.

Born August 10, 1923 in Ottawa, Frances was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Baietta-Bednarik. She was raised in Morris and graduated from Morris High School. On May 17, 1947, Frances married Glenn D. Wright, and together they raised their family in Wilmington. In 1977, Glenn and Frances retired to Lakeland, Florida, where they enjoyed nearly 30 years. It was after the death of Glenn in 2006, Frances returned to Wilmington. She was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and Saint Anthony Church in Lakeland.

Survivors include three children: Marilyn (the late David) Matlock of Lakeland, Florida and Barbara (Richard) Eartly and Debra (Ron) Bell, both of Wilmington; seven grandchildren: Michelle Rector of Missouri, Valerie Rogers of Breese, Illinois, Aaron Matlock of Washington, Joshua (Sunny) Eartly of Bourbonnais, Jennifer (Brian) Stark of Channahon, David Young of Bourbonnais and Melissa (Ron) Baudino of Marseilles; ten great grandchildren and one brother Gerald (Virginia) Bednarik of Morris.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband Glenn; brother and sister-in-law Dalton (Margaret) Bednarik and son-in-law David Matlock.

Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be held on March 28, 2014 in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, where both Frances and Glenn will be laid to rest. Family and friends wishing to attend the graveside services and military honors for Glenn, are asked to meet at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Friday, March 28 ^th at 1:30PM. A procession to the cemetery will depart at 2:00PM.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Frances’ memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, IL 60481.
