Frances Schneider

FRANCES S. SCHNEIDER

Age 78 of Gardner, passed away Thursday March 16, 2006 at Morris Community Hospital.

Born December 31, 1927 in Chicago, Frances was a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Kline) Metelka. She was raised and educated in Franklin Park and was employed for Borg-Warner for more than 18 years until her retirement. Frances loved writing letters and caring for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her three children: Alex (Belle) Schneider of Streamwood, Sandra (Andy) Ledoux of Custer Park and Darlene Schneider of Gardner. Four grandchildren: Gary, Brandie, Heather and Amabelle and two sisters: Charlotte (Art) Richter of Woodstock and Peggy Vanderbruggen of Arizona, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alexander, four sisters and two brothers.

A private family committal service and burial will be held in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Frances' memory to her daughter Darlene for distribution to local charities of the family's choice.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Coal City.
