Age 94 of California and formerly Wilmington, passed away Thursday October 23, 2008 at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.

Born February 19, 1914 in Gardner, Faye was a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Domagala-Maxard. On January 1, 1949 Faye married Joseph Diorio in Chicago and together they moved to California, where she worked as a Switchboard Operator for many years. Faye and Joe truly enjoyed both horse races and trips to Las Vegas.

Survivors include her loving sisters: Lucille Stevens of Wilmington and Victoria Fournier of California; sister-in-law Cecelia Maxard of Gardner and special, caring nephew and niece Ralph "Tuffy" (Ginny) Stevens, of Braidwood, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph in 2001; three sisters: Rose, Clara and Mary and two brothers: Joseph and George.

Visitation will be held Tuesday October 28, 2008 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM and Wednesday October 29th from 10:00AM until 10:30AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Funeral services will follow Wednesday at 11:00AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Donald Dyer officiating.

Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Faye's memory to St. Rose Catholic Church or Kuzma Care Cottage.
