Age 87 of Michigan City, Indiana and formerly Carbon Hill, passed away Sunday October 19, 2008 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois

Born November 06, 1920 in Troy Township, Florence was a daughter of the late Jacob and Eula Stewart-VanDuyne. On January 22, 1938 Florence married John J. Jacklich, Sr. in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and together they lived most of their married life in Carbon Hill prior to moving to Arizona.

Survivors include her children: Jack (Marion) Jacklich of Kissimmee Florida, Donald (Sheila) Jacklich of Lisle, Illinois, Robert (Nancy) Jacklich of Carollton Texas, Richard Jacklich of Illinois, Mark (Tonya) Jacklich of Elwood, Illinois and Janet (Raymond) VanDeWalle of Michigan City, Indiana. (12) Grandchildren: (13) Great Grandchildren; two sisters: Mary (the late Turner "Terry") Turan and Millie (the late Lawrence "Slim") Wallen, both of Wilmington; two brothers: Francis (Kathryn) VanDuyne of Coal City and William (Elaine) VanDuyne of Mesa, Arizona; four sisters-in-law: Rosie VanDuyne, Charlotte VanDuyne, Joyce VanDuyne and Betty VanDuyne, all of Wilmington, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, one son Billy; one granddaughter Janene; her husband John J. Jacklich, Sr.; three sisters: Eileen (Arden) Gerrish, Agnes (Wilbur) Moorman and Virginia VanDuyne and five brothers: Claude (Marge) VanDuyne, Leroy VanDuyne, Robert VanDuyne, Joseph VanDuyne and Alvin VanDuyne.

Visitation will be held on Sunday October 26, 2008 between the hours of 2:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Funeral services will follow on Monday October 27th at 10:00AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Florence's Memory to Kuzma Care Cottage or St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington.
