Evelyn Rae Spinozzi (nee Reed)

Born January 18, 1922 ~ Died July 17, 2007

After a courageous battle against Cancer, Evelyn said a loving goodbye to her family at home and passed on.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents Ray L. and Susie (Snyder) Reed and her first husband William P. Murphy.

Survivors include her sister Shirley Cable of North Carolina; her husband Frank D. Spinozzi; four children: William B. (Barbara) Murphy, Timothy R. (Cheryl) Murphy, Patrick D. (Bonnie) Murphy and Mary (Mark) Magee-Huth. Grandchildren: Sean (Cheryl) Murphy, Sarra Hinshaw, Marik Murphy and Paige Magee. Great Grandchildren: Kyle and Kaitlyn Murphy.

Evelyn was a member of American Diabetes Association of Chicago; participated in the establishment of the Joliet Area Chapter for Diabetes; was a member of Joliet Area Community Hospice for 6 years and spent time volunteering at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington and enjoyed participating in Hospice fundraisers.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Embassy Care Center.

Evelyn's motto was always: "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained, be Joyous!"

Visitation will be held on Friday July 20, 2007 between the hours of 3:00PM and 7:00PM and Saturday July 21st from 9:00AM until time of funeral services 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Chaplain Sandra M. Hafey from Joliet Area Community Hospice will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
