Age 94 of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and formerly Wilmington, passed away Monday February 4, 2008 at The Promise long term care center in Baton Rouge.

Born August 11, 1913 in Chicago, Evelyn was a daughter of the late August and Beda (Franzen) Anderson. She was formerly employed and retired from the First National Bank of Wilmington, and was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington. Evelyn greatly loved her family and shared her time equally with both of her daughters' families in Illinois and Louisiana.

Survivors include her loving daughters Martha (Bob) Rink of Wilmington and Norma (Johnny) Brown of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren: Laura (Tom) Garvey, Bobby (Jacquelyn) Rink, Christine (Gabe) Taylor and William Brown; eight great grandchildren: Amanda, Jacob, and Joel Garvey, and Alex, Claire and Lucas Rink, and Evey and Brandon Taylor; niece Judy (Dan) Van Heerde and family, as well as several cousins.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 10, 2008 between the hours of 3:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington and Monday at 9:00AM until time of service at 10:00AM at the First United Methodist Church, 401 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Rev. David Lagos-Fonseca and Rev. Shirley Pulgar-Hughes will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Evelyn's memory to the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington.
