Evangelist Robert K. Quiett

Age 68 of Diamond, went home to be with the Lord on Monday July 19, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born May 16, 1942 in Maryville, Tennessee, Robert was a son of the late Raymond and Nora Feezel-Quiett. He attended Joliet Junior College and in 2001 earned his Evangelist Ministers License from Rose of Sharon Ministries. Robert retired from Amoco Oil Company in Channahon after more than 28 years of service, where he was involved with the volunteer fire department and their ambulance service. Robert enjoyed traveling, fishing and cooking, and can be remembered for playing his bass guitar in churches and Christian coffee houses.

Survivors include his wife Reverend Jan Quiett; four children: Phillip Quiett of Washington D.C., Kimberly Quiett of Florida, Jennifer (Mark) Bufkin of Kansas and Kenneth Quiett, Sr. of Joliet; three step-children: Kim A. (Peter) Keller of Oswego, Kristie (the late Steve) Panian of Joliet and Kelly (Peter) Henley of Chicago; grandchildren: Kenneth Quiett, Jr., Boone and Brian Bufkin, Benjamin Keller, Nathan and Kylie Panian and Stella Renee Henley; one special aunt Ila Young and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Tyson Quiett.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Thursday July 22, 2010 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Friday July 23rd at 10:00AM in the funeral home, where a celebration of life will be officiated by Reverend Andrew Morton, Reverend Don Carr, Reverend's Edward and Laura Randle and Reverend Mark Thompson.

Burial will be in Plainfield Township Cemetery in Plainfield and pallbearers will be: Danny Moore, Mark Bufkin, Kenneth Quiett, Tony Goin, Peter Keller and Pete Henley.
