Eva Mae Miller

 Age 75 of Gardner, Illinois, died Friday, January 19, 2024 at Arcadia Care in Morris, Illinois.

 Born April 28, 1948 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Eva was a daughter of Luther and Flora (Keener) Robinson. She was raised and educated in Fort Smith, graduated from South Side High School in 1966, and completed an Associates Degree at West Ark Community College. On April 11, 1980, Eva married Terry Lee Miller at Wesley United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, and together they would relocate to and settle in Gardner, Illinois.

 She was a member of Coal City United Methodist Church, where she participated in Sunshine Circle and lent her musical talents to the choir and performed in the annual Christmas Cantata. Eva’s musical talents were well known. She had a beautiful singing voice and could play multiple instruments, piano and organ to name a few. Eva also assisted the Gardner South Wilmington High School music programs as an accompanist. She was a kind woman with strong faith, and whose friendly personality was apparent to all who new her.

 Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Terry Miller of Gardner, and her daughter, Lydia Miller of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters: Sandra (Mike) Smith and Becky Robinson-Basinger, both of Fort Smith; one brother-in-law, Steven (Penny) Miller of Ottawa, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

 Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Flora Robinson; her mother and father-in-law: Albert and Delores Miller; and her sister-in-law, Dreama Joan Miller.

 The family will receive friends for a visitation at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway Street (one block north of Illinois Route 113), in Coal City on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Jay Regennitter will officiate, and burial will follow at Braceville Gardner Cemetery.
