Eva Bray

EVA KATHRYN BRAY (LaFollette)

Age 91 of Wilmington, passed away Thursday evening August 25, 2005 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born June 01, 1914 in Heyworth, IL, Eva was a daughter of the late Thurman and Mabel (Sweckard) La Follette.

Eva was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington.

Survivors include her loving children: Ricahrd L. Bray of Joliet and Barbara Merkle (William) McMurty of Wilmington. (8) Grandchildren; (23) Great Grandchildren; (4) Great-Great Grandchildren and one sister-in-law Lela Vee Welch of Wapella, IL, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam (2001) and one brother Clyde La Follette.

Visitation will be Sunday August 28, 2005 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM and Monday August 29th from 9:00AM until time of funeral services 10:00AM at the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington, 401 E. Kahler Rd., Wilmington, IL 60481. Rev. David Lagos-Fonseca and Rev. Shirley Pulgar-Hughes will officiate, and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Eva's memory to the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington.
