Erika Lynn Bauermeister

Age 19 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 19, 2008 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born November 26, 1988, Erika is the daughter of Lisa Bauermeister of Las Vegas and Michael F. Bauermeister of Morris. She was a devoted mother to her son Keagin and in her free time Erika enjoyed wake boarding, swimming, shopping, drawing and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her parents; one son Keagin; Keagin's father Jaston Lowe of Las Vegas, grandparents: Greg and Kathy Hill of Morris, Lynn Wise of Las Vegas and Gitta Klingerman of Morris; great grandmother Virginia Hill of Coal City and two aunts: Burgundy (Chuck) Lander of Coal City and Lyndsay (Dennis) Glastetter of Morris, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Erika was preceded in death by her grandfathers: David Wise and Donald Klingerman; great grandmother Bobbi Orbaugh and great grandfather Robert "Buster" Hill.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Thursday September 25, 2008 between the hours of 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Erika will then lie in state on Friday September 26th from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 10:00AM at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate and burial will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Erika's memory to her family for the future establishment of an educational fund to benefit Erika's son Keagin.
