Eric W. Kurth
Age 37 of Joliet, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Sunday April 15, 2012.
Born March 18, 1975 in Joliet, Eric is the son of Thomas Kurth and Charmaine Watters - VanDuyne. He was raised and educated in Wilmington; graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1993, and earned his MBA, MHA from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. Eric has been employed with Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet since graduating college, serving as the Program Director for the Wound Care Center. Eric greatly enjoyed traveling and cherished his two dogs, Chubba and Diesel and his cat, Chloe.
Survivors include his parents, Charmaine VanDuyne and Thomas (Carolyn) Kurth, both of Wilmington; one sister, Michelle (Joshua) Mandac of Wilmington; 2 nieces and 2 nephews: Ashley, Colin, J.T. and Abbey, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Don and Sally Watters and paternal grandparents Glen and Alice Kurth.
A memorial visitation and video tribute will be held on Wednesday, April 18th between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington (815/476-2181). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow Thursday, April 19th at 11:00 AM in Saint Rose Catholic Church, 624 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington. Reverend Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer will officiate.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Eric's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage or the Will County Humane Society.
