Emily Ann Paulsen

Age 26, of Wilmington passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born Oct. 5, 1987 in Joliet, Emily was a daughter of Patricia (nee Williams) and Bradley Paulsen. She was raised and educated in Wilmington, where she was baptized in Saint Rose Catholic Church, and went on to graduate from Wilmington High School with the class of 2006. Emily had many interests, which included NASCAR, music, scrapbooking and fishing, but she will always be most remembered for her passion and love for her friends and family.

Emily is survived by her parents, fiancAC.e, Darryl Allen of Wilmington; one sister, Haley Paulsen of Wilmington; paternal grandmother, Lorna D. Paulsen of Coal City; maternal grandfather, Berl Williams of Du Quoin; several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clarence "Bogie" Paulsen and maternal grandmother, Angela Williams.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 18, 2014 between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd. in Wilmington. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from noon until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Avery Wilson will officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Emily's memory to the family for distribution to charities of their choosing.
