Emily J. Heffel

Age 76 of Chicago, passed away Friday April 18, 2014 at Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston.

Born May 29, 1937 in Chicago, Emily was a daughter of the late David and Adele Banis-Heffel.

Survivors include her son Stephen (Dawn) Santiago of Billings, Montana; four grandchildren: Nathan, Alexa, Isaiah and Abigail; two sisters: Carole (Edward) Mayer of Morris and Elaine Carner of Rockford and several nieces and nephews, as well as cousins in the Racine, Wisconsin area.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents; sister Judy Barth; cousin Bonnie Heffel and many aunts and uncles.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service in Naperville Cemetery is being planned for a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Emily’s memory to First Presbyterian Church Pastor’s Fund, 200 East Jackson Street, Morris, Illinois 60450.
