Elsa Fern Butler (nee Warriner)

Age 91 of Wesley Township, Wilmington passed away December 27, 2010 in Clifton, Illinois.

Born May 7, 1919 in Wesley Township, Elsa was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Florence (Griffith) Warriner. She was a member of Ritchey United Methodist Church, Past President of the Women's Auxilary of the Malcolm J. Mayo VFW Post #5422, Past Grand Royal Matron of the Order of Amaranth, Past Matron of the Wilmington Court #13, Past Bethel Guardian of Bethel #75 IOJD and Past Matron of the Holly Chapter #183 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include seven loving children: Leo Butler of Warwick, Rhode Island, Patricia (Gordon) Heitman of Manhattan, Grayce (Raymond) English of Clifton, David (Penny) Butler of McLean, Ruth Harris of Hudsonville, Michigan, Donna (Kurt) Wagner of Columbus, Missouri and Lester Butler Jr. of Zion; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and two brothers: Wesley & Melvin Warriner.

Elsa was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lester M. Butler Sr. (1985), two sons, four sisters and five brothers.

Visitation will be held Thursday December 30, 2010 from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 3:00PM at the Freitag Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services and inurnment will follow at a later date in Wesley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Elsa's memory to the Ritchey United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
